Former Aston Villa and Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has suggested that Manchester City need to get skipper Vincent Kompany back into top form.
The 29-year-old Belgian defender has been a mainstay of City's defence during their recent successful years, but he endured a frustrating spell at laden with errors and injury during last season and Cascarino feels his best will go a long way to restoring the club to the top of the Premier League table.
Cascarino said on Sky Sports' Transfer Centre: "Defensively, they've got to get more out of Vincent Kompany.
"He's still a young man. If City can get him close to what he was before, that'll be (like) a massive signing."
