Manchester City are closing in on a new goalkeeper.

The Citizens are chasing after 23-year-old Zach Steffan.

The American is the subject of a £6 million offer to his club Columbus Crew.

The Daily Mail suggests that Steffan will complete the deal over the weekend. And it is likely he will go on loan, possibly to Girona or Nice.

Steffan is seen as the next USMNT number one goalkeeper.

He has played 32 games in Major League Soccer this season, along with six friendlies for the United States.
