Manchester City face losing a fortune on their flop signings this summer.
The Sunday Mirror says City will have to write off more than £50million to get Emmanuel Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz and Wayne Bridge out of the club.
The Premier League champions were ready to sell Adebayor to Tottenham in a cut-price £10million deal and were also hoping to get some cash back on Santa Cruz and Bridge.
Adebayor scored 18 goals in 37 games during a year-long loan spell at White Hart Lane and is keen to make his move back to London permanent.
But talks about the Togo striker have gone cold.
The £25m recruit from Arsenal is also looking for a £5m pay-off to compensate for cash he will lose when he is forced to take a cut in his £150,000-a-week wages.
