Manchester City face a battle to land CSKA Moscow striker Jo Alves.
The sale will be the biggest in Russian league history, even though CSKA might only be left with £12m as MSI take the other £6m.
Jo began his career at Corinthians, the club that MSI - who were fronted by Kia Joorabchian - took over in late 2004, before he moved to the Russian capital in 2005.
Last week he agreed personal terms with City and an annual salary of £3.5m was agreed.
