Manchester City are making a late move for Southampton superkid Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Daily Mail says City are making a bid to scupper Arsenal's deal for the 17 year-old winger.
City have now made their move to land the 17-year-old. Eastlands football administration officer Brian Marwood has been handed the remit of luring Oxlade-Chamberlain to City and has already made contact with Southampton.
Sources close to the player last night claimed they were expecting Marwood to speak with the teenager's advisers this week. The approach could be a fatal blow to Arsene Wenger's hopes of taking the youngster to the Emirates this month.
