Manchester City are interested in Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol.

AS says Albiol is again assessing his options at Real following the return to fitness of Ricardo Carvalho.

The former Valencia man has been linked with Manchester United following their recent defensive injury crisis.

However, City are now being linked with Albiol, whose versatility is attractive to manager Roberto Mancini.
