Manchester City are expected to make a move for AZ Alkmaar midfielder Adam Maher this summer.

The Daily Mail says the 19-year-old has already been called up to the Holland side by Louis Van Gaal and is seen as a ready-made replacement for Wesley Sneijder. Van Gaal has advised him to leave Holland and City have been well briefed about his potential.

Maher actually had trials at City two years ago and turned down a move to England to sign with AZ.
