Man City midfielder Toure not conceding title

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure insists they're not giving up on the title.

The Ivory Coast midfielder admitted City would have to 'give 120 per cent' in every game but was adamant they could turn the screw on United and make them 'feel a little nervous' in the in the run-in.

"We are much further behind than we would like, of course, but all we need to do is think about last season to know what is possible," he said, in City's matchday programme. "Anything can happen. We have a full squad of fantastic players, and I think the most important thing is that we are all back together.

"My friends are all here and are happy to see me, and we are like a family of bothers who will all fight together - and that is a very important thing to have.

"United have a strong squad, and, on paper, they have an easier run-in than we do, but the title race is a long way from finished. It only takes a couple of results to go our way, and we are right back in it. I'm sure we will come back, but we cannot afford any more slip-ups.

"We will continue to put pressure on United, and I still think openings will appear. I think if they know we won't give up, they will begin to feel a little nervous, and that is when mistakes creep in. We are only in February, and if we work hard, we believe there is still a chance.

"Every team in the Premier League gives 100 per cent, as Southampton proved, and every game is very hard, but we have to give 120 per cent and be better than them."
