Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has hit back at Didi Hamann. Former City midfielder Hamann claims he can be 'a liability' and is prone to deserting his post to join the attack.
Toure responded: "They are not important people. We have a lot of respect for the older players but sometimes they are wrong and we're disappointed when we hear stupid things.
"For me, the most important thing is we have to move on. Liability or no liability, I've been playing for a long time and I have a lot of experience in this position.
"It doesn't matter who wants to criticise me and talk about me, I just want to focus on the next game. Always when we have lost we are the worst team - and I'm the worst player especially - and when we've won I'm the best in the team.
"The most important thing is what my manager tells me to do and what I think is the best way for the team and the best way for me as well. I always give myself in every way. I'm in the right place."
