Manchester City midfielder David Silva says Spain must leave the World Cup in positive fashion.
Spain meet Australia tomorrow in their final group game.
"We have to try to end the tournament well - we had been doing well right up until this World Cup. It hasn't been easy for us and it's tough knowing that we're on our way home so soon.
"We've all made mistakes. The team hasn't played well and both Holland and Chile have beaten us but you have to learn how to lose and take it with grace and not look for excuses.
"It's something which happens after situations like this. We're all getting older and there are younger players coming through who have an appetite to show what they're capable of. I'm sure they'll bring a lot of good things to the side."
