Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has shut the door on a France recall.

On-loan at Sevilla, Nasri is rediscovering his best form, where coach Jorge Sampaoli believes Didier Deschamps should recall him for Les Bleus.

"It's not in the back of my mind. There are some who say it is because I have been sidelined by Deschamps, but it's really not a desire on my part, that's something I do not want to do, I have suffered for France, especially after 2012, there was a lot of criticism, my family has been affected," he told Bein Sport.

"I'm not saying I was blameless, I have also made my mistakes. After the disappointment in 2014, not to compete in the World Cup was too strong. I did whatever it took on the field to be there.

"This is something that I took personally, now I just want to develop myself, to find the pleasure of playing football again."
