Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell says he'll keep his training up during his summer break.

The former Everton midfielder gets married this summer but has revealed he will continue his conditioning programme even on honeymoon in Australia.

Rodwell said: "I'll have to be getting up early before the missus while I'm on honeymoon, so I can get my work done and out of the way so I can enjoy the rest of the day.

"I will be doing something most days, even the day before the wedding. I can't go back in rusty, so I will need to be ticking over every day.

"It's a new chapter for me. This season has been a bit stop-start but with the new manager coming in, and a summer off, coming back for pre-season will be a fresh start - almost a new career."
