Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell struck a hat-trick in the U21s' 4-0 win at Oldham Athletic.

Rodwell marked his second appearance for the Elite Development Squad in a week with a hat-trick to put City on their way to a Manchester Senior Cup win over Oldham Athletic.

Denis Suarez scored City's other goal in a game where Rodwell and Micah Richards both completed 90 minutes to help Attilio Lombardo's men to a fourth-successive win.
