Man City midfielder Navas happy with Premier League workload

Manchester City midfielder Jesus Navas has no problem with the workload of Premier League players.

Teammate Alvaro Negredo seems to have gone off the boil (although it would have been impossible to keep up his scoring streak) and Mesut Ozil's problems at Arsenal are well documented.

Navas, however, believes it is the price of success.

"There are a lot of games," he told the Manchester Evening News. "But the reason is because we are battling on every front. It's not a complaint."

The flipside to that argument is that many take a season to adjust and fire on all cylinders the following campaign - the opposite of second album syndrome.

"That might be right," said Navas. "All players want to better themselves and keep improving."
