Manchester City midfielder James Milner feels England's young players have brought new confidence to the nation.
Several youngsters were this week blooded, with Daniel Sturridge, Jack Rodwell and Kyle Walker all making their debuts, while Phil Jones and Danny Welbeck appeared to cement their places in the squad.
Manchester City star Milner, who himself broke into the squad two years ago, said: "I think there's a good balance now.
"There's definitely quality coming through and I think the more experience we get as a team together, with that mixture of the older players and younger, can only do us good."
