James Milner has put his hand up for his England gaffe.
The Manchester City midfielder moved away from his position in a two-man wall to allow Tranquillo Barnetta to give Switzerland a 2-0 lead with a near-post free-kick.
Milner admitted: "There are no excuses. We were slow out of the blocks and gave away a couple of soft goals.
"For the second one I thought they were going to take the free-kick short so I moved out of the wall, giving Harty no chance.
"So I was poor as well. I hold my hands up.
"We started slowly and came back into the game, turned it around.
"All credit to the lads, we bounced back quickly and Jack Wilshere did brilliantly to win the penalty. Then in the second half we had more than enough chances to win the game."
