Man City midfielder Leroy Sane avoids ref action after cheeky gesture

Manchester City midfielder Leroy Sane has avoided action after a cheeky gesture towards ref Paul Tierney last night.

The Sun says Sane was lucky to escape any punishment for showing the referee a lack of respect in Manchester City's 5-1 win over Huddersfield.

The forward, who got City's equaliser, caused controversy when he shoved three fingers in Tierney's face — claiming the official had missed THREE penalties for his side.

Ex-ref Mark Halsey told The Sun: “Sane was lucky not to get a caution for dissent.

“He has shown a total lack of respect to the referee.

“Paul is a young and new referee to the Premier League, but if that had been a more experienced referee I think he would have taken action."
