Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan was jeered by Germany fans last night.
Gundogan was booed by sections of the home crowd as Germany drew their Nations League opener against world champions France.
The City star, who like fellow national team-mate Mesut Ozil met Turkey President Erdogan, was whistled as he came onto replace Leon Goretzka in the second half of this goalless stalemate.
Arsenal midfielder Ozil, of Turkish descent like Gundogan, has since retired from international duty with the race row threatening to tear apart the 2014 world champions, who crashed out at the group stage in Russia this year.
