Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan says playing in the Premier League is the best place for any footballer.
Gundogan admits a return to the Bundesliga wouldn't tempt him.
He explained to BILD: "English football is hugely on the rise.
"I am the honest opinion that it is more attractive in many areas than the Bundesliga.
"The championship is even more exciting here. If, for example, I have the opportunity to play for an average club in the Premier League or the Bundesliga, the decision is usually made for England.
"I also can earn more here."
The former Borussia Dortmund star added: "I do not know how to change that in the future. Many German players sometimes just want to go abroad to gain new experiences.
"But Bayern Munich, Dortmund or RB Leipzig will continue to be interesting for professionals."
