Manchester City midfielder Fernando admits they need a win against Monaco this week.
Pep Guardiola's side welcome the free scoring Les Monégasques to the Etihad on Tuesday in the first-leg of their last 16 Champions League clash.
Monaco currently lead the way in Ligue 1, having scored a whopping 76 goals in 26 games.
"We know Monaco are a great team playing well in the league," he told mancity.com.
"It will be a difficult game but every game in the Champions League is tough.
"It's important to score goals and not concede in order to get a good result to take to the second-leg."
