Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry isn't giving up on an England recall.
Barry will hope a good show against Tottenham at lunchtime will get him back into Roy Hodgson's thoughts for the friendly against the Republic of Ireland next month.
Barry said: "When you have been out of the manager's plans for that length of time it becomes harder to get back in, especially as I'm 32 now.
"I've got to play well to get myself back in but I have certainly not given up. The manager will have his own ideas. Hopefully I can feature in them.
"I'm sure he's seen a few games and hopefully I've impressed him recently."
