Manchester City may go outside football to replace Garry Cook.

Former Chelsea and Manchester United chief Peter Kenyon and ex-Arsenal supremo David Dein have been linked with the role.

But the Guardian says with Brian Marwood pulling the football strings, City's owners may go elsewhere to replace Cook with an emphasis on someone capable of driving infrastructure projects rather than sports matters.
