Man City mate Milner spoke so highly of Aston Villa - Sinclair

Scott Sinclair has revealed that James Milner spoke positively to him about his new club Aston Villa.

The Manchester City winger has signed a short-term contract with Villa which runs until the end of the season and has admitted speaking to City midfielder Milner regarding his move to the West Midlands.

Milner spent more than two years at Villa Park before moving to City in August 2010 but had plenty of good things to say about the Birmingham outfit according to ex-Chelsea and Swansea City man Sinclair.

"I spoke to James before I came here," Sinclair told the club's official website.

"He told me Villa is one of the best clubs around. He loved his time here. He said I'd love it too.

"He had no doubts that I'd enjoy myself here.

"I was speaking to Milly throughout the weeks about the club. He just kept giving rave reviews.

"He said he loved every minute of his time at Villa.

"He made a point of praising the fans too - he said they're great to play for. He just made it clear that I would have a fantastic time here.

"James is a guy I respect and you know when he says something, he means it.

"I just can't wait to settle in here now and be a part of it."

Sinclair, who has made just 19 appearances for City since arriving in 2012, will go straight into Paul Lambert's Villa squad for Sunday's Premier League trip to Arsenal.
