Manchester City are weighing up a new swap offer for Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given.
The Daily Mail says City may throw midfielder Michael Johnson in to a proposed deal for Newcastle goalkeeper Given. City made an improved offer of £9m over the weekend for the Republic of Ireland international but are still struggling to convince the north-east club to sell.
Now they may offer Johnson, 20, to Newcastle after the youngster lost his way at City.
