Manchester City are eyeing Chelsea fullback Ashley Cole.

The Daily Star Sunday says Cole could be a surprise summer signing for Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.

No Stamford Bridge talks are planned on an extension and Chelsea's top brass would not agree to a new deal ­guaranteeing around £150,000 a week.

So the chase is now on with Paris St-Germain showing interest as well as clubs in the USA.

But City would come into Cole's consideration when he decides his future over the next couple of months.
