Manchester City have made a last-ditch bid to trump Olympique Marseille for Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse.
The Sunday Mirror says on Friday night, Marseille believed they had clinched the France striker's £8million recruitment. But City tabled a £10m offer in an attempt to take Cisse to Eastlands.
