Manchester City have made an enquiry for Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.

The Daly Express says City have designs on bringing Busquets to the Etihad in January.

Spain international Busquets has become a mainstay in the Barcelona team since joining the club in 2008 and has enjoyed an illustrious career at the Camp Nou.

But Manchester City's bulging finances mean that money isn't a problem for the Barclays Premier League champions.

And with Yaya Toure off to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, City need extra steel in midfield.
