Manchester City are making another bid for Marseille's former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse this week.

The Mirror says City boss Sven Goran Eriksson had an approach for the French marksman, 26, flatly rejected this month in his bid to beef up his team's firepower.

But Eriksson remains an admirer of £5million-rated Cisse and is willing to test Marseille's resolve with a take-it-or-leave-it offer before the January transfer window deadline. Bolton also want to bring Cisse back to England.
