Man City make contact with camp of Man Utd rebel Morrison

Manchester City are ready to nick Ravel Morrison away from Manchester United.

The Daily Mail says City are set to enter the race for Morrison as the youngster's future at Manchester United remains up in the air.

Morrison is out of contract in the summer and looks set to leave Old Trafford after risking a row with manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Newcastle United tried to take advantage and lodged a £1million bid which United knocked back.

Arsenal remain keen while Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona have been linked with the midfielder.

A short move across Manchester would be a controversial one and City have made discreet enquiries about the teenager, who has been dogged with off-the-field disciplinary problems.
