Manchester City are reportedly keen to either offload Carlos Tevez or have a buyer in place before the go after Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero.
City have made no secret that they are keen on Tevez' Argentina teammate and are prepared to spend £35million to get him to Eastlands.
But a source close to the deal told Goal.com that the future of Tevez has to be sorted before they do any business for Aguero.
"City are keen to sign him but a deal is still a long way from being done," the source said.
"It depends on what happens to Tevez. City want to sell Tevez or be confident they have a buyer in place before signing Aguero."
