Manchester City have made a bid for Valencia winger David Silva. The Telegraph says City have made another significant move in the transfer market by lodging an official bid of £30 million for Silva, the exciting Spain winger.
However it is understood that the 24 year-old, who played in Spain's defeat to Switzerland yesterday, would prefer a move to either Chelsea or Manchester United if he were to leave Valencia this summer, as appears likely.
Chelsea are understood to be considering a move for Silva but City's early bid may prove decisive, especially as Valencia are desperately in need of cash, despite claims that the sale of David Villa for £34 million to Barcelona has stabilised their finances.
