Newcastle United are under pressure to keep hold Rolando Aarons. The Sunday Times says talks are yet to start over a new deal for Aarons, who has forced his way into Alan Pardew's first team this season.
Aarons - who celebrated his 19th birthday today - signed a professional contract at St James's Park late last season.
Newcastle didn't reveal the length of the deal at the time, but the newspaper reports that it runs to the end of the campaign with the option of another year.
Premier League champions Manchester City are said to be monitoring Aarons's situation along with Liverpool.
