Newcastle United face a battle to keep hold of Moussa Sissoko.

The Daily Star says Liverpool are facing competition from Manchester City to land Sissoko.

The midfielder recently admitted he wants to play in the Champions League for an English club.

He said: “With a year until the Euros, I shouldn't change club, but I want to play for one of the biggest clubs in the Champions League.

"My time will come. But in any case I see myself staying in England."
