Manchester City legend Mike Summerbee has already been won over by new signing Martin Petrov.

Summerbee said: "I was at City when Petrov walked in yesterday. I only caught a glimpse of him but he looks every inch a superstar.

"People will now be following our results from Bulgaria and keeping an eye out for City, this is a massive coup for us.

"To sign players of Petrov's quality is a real statement from the club under the new owners. From day one when Sven came in he has attracted only top-quality people to the club. And Petrov fits the bill.

"You have to live in Manchester to realise what a big club City is. But these signings are really putting us on the map again."
