Manchester City legend Mike Summerbee is happy Eden Hazard chose Chelsea and not the Eastlands.

Summerbee was unimpressed by the way the Lille star was touting himself to interested clubs.

"I think it's good for us," Summerbee told Sport360°. "I don't think it's a good thing that he's probably gone to Chelsea but I'm just saying it's a good thing to show that people can't hold Manchester City to ransom. If someone wants to pay £32 million (Dh182m), we've got a good enough squad.

"We've got some superb players, Samir Nasri has started looking good and will get better and better playing for Manchester City. It never bothered me, I don't like people holding people to ransom saying I might go here, I might go here, or go here. The fans read that and if he signed for City he wouldn't have come as a popular player because he'd played one against the other."
