Manchester City legend Mike Summerbee feels the current team is the best in their history.
And Summerbee said: "It's quite amazing the opportunities which are being created and the style of football City are playing.
"I honestly think that myself, Colin Bell and Franny Lee would all be struggling to get into this side.
"I thought I could play a bit in my day. But I don't think I would get in this team. And I might even struggle to get into the reserve team the way we are performing at the moment.
"There have been moments when we are unplayable. There was one game when I looked at Tony Book and Franny and we just smiled and shook our heads. It was that good.
"Yes, I do think this is better than the Bell, Lee, Summerbee era. I know we won things like the league, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup.
"But this City side are capable of doing even better. They have started with the FA Cup which is now in the trophy cabinet.
"We didn't win things all at once. It was over a period of time.
"In Mancini's team we have good players in every position."
