Man City legend Summerbee agrees with Mancini over dodgy refs

Manchester City legend Mike Summerbee feels manager Roberto Mancini is right to talk out about "dodgy" refereeing decisions.

Summerbee feels their season has been plagued by poor officiating.

"I have always been the kind of fella who isn't afraid to speak his own mind," Summerbee told the Sunday Mirror.

"And I've got to say that we (City) have been on the wrong end of some very dodgy decisions.

"I keep hearing that these things even themselves out over the course of a season.

"If that's the case, we've got plenty to look forward to from referees over our last four games.

"Officials aren't against us - of course they're not - but when they are constantly getting the big decisions wrong then Roberto Mancini has a duty to speak out about it.

"I was at Norwich last week when we won 6-1. But what has been forgotten was that Carlos Tevez should have had a penalty when it was still 0-0.

"The referee made his mistake even worse by booking Carlos for diving, when everyone in the ground could see it was a foul.

"Those kinds of decisions have followed us everywhere we have played."
