Manchester City icon Uwe Rosler is set to be named new manager of Brentford.
Brentford wanted a more experienced boss to lead them next season and stepped up their move for Rosler last week.
Last Friday the German confirmed: "I don't want to go into much detail but I've been in contact with Brentford. We have been in permanent dialogue and I'm keen to manage in England. Both parties are interested in working with each other but nothing is agreed so far."
But the situation has moved on since then with the club's wealthy investor Matthew Bentham confirming on his Twitter account: "Very close to manager announcement."
