Manchester City legend Francis Lee hopes Mario Balotelli is left on the bench against Manchester United tonight.

Balotelli is available for tonight's title showdown against United after completing a ban for losing his head in the 1-0 loss at Arsenal.

But Lee, who scored 112 league goals for City between 1967 and 1974, said: "I would put him on the bench as a wildcard but the team has played very well without him so why pick him?

"You cannot win a championship with a player where you don't know what his next move will be."
