Manchester City have ruled out moving for Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto'o. The Manchester Evening News says the striker exasperated Blues officials two years ago - when he was at Barcelona - by dawdling over a staggering contract offer understood to be worth £180,000-a-week after tax.
City eventually got so sick of waiting for Eto'o to respond that chief executive Garry Cook made a public statement declaring that the club were pulling out of the deal.
Instead, the Cameroon international ended up moving to the San Siro, but has now declared that he would like a move to England.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea have also been linked with Eto'o, but City are not prepared to go back in for a player who messed them around so royally last time out.
