De Telegraaf says Rekik's performance in the Dublin Cup for City thrilled Holland's youth coaching staff.
Rekik only joined City earlier this summer and looked comfortable alongside Yaya Toure in action against Inter Milan.
The 17 year-old knows he has a long way to go to taste official first team action at City, but is delighted with how quickly he has adjusted to life at the Premier League giants.
Rekik's younger brother, Omar, is also playing for City's junior team this season.
