England goalkeeper coach Ray Clemence has told Manchester City No1 Joe Hart to toughen up.
City boss Roberto Mancini hasn't shied away from criticising his young keeper in public in recent weeks.
Clemence said: "I think it would appear that Mancini tries to keep the young ones on their toes at Manchester City.
"It was not long ago he was talking about how Adam Johnson should live his life better.
"He seems to have moved on to Joe. I think he likes to remind them they're still learning.
"They might be playing in the first team - and in Joe's case the England team - but Mancini likes to remind them that this game can change very quickly.
"If you're a top-quality keeper as Joe is you'll sit down with your coach and might think you could have done a bit better at Villa.
"Joe has to live with the pressure of being England keeper.
"Everything he does will be scrutinised, but he's strong enough to deal with it."
