Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart insists Carlos Tevez won't be to blame if they blow the title race.

Hart, City's England international goalkeeper, said there can be no excuses - least of all the return of Tevez - if they fail to lift the Premier League trophy on Sunday May 13.

"A lot of people will say that but, personally, I won't," he told the Mirror. "If we don't win the league, it will be our own fault. That includes Carlos, myself - everyone.

"I'm not interested in what's perceived outside of the club. All I'm interested in is what's going on inside the club and how we can win the league.

"If that means Carlos coming back, scoring a hat-trick and everyone saying he's the greatest player in the world, so be it. I couldn't care less."
