Hart said: "Being at Shrewsbury was not as low as I could go, it was as high as I could go.
"It was where I was born, it was my local team, it was the team where I played for the youth team and playing for Shrewsbury was the height of my career at the time. I didn't even think about anything higher, even the league above.
"The height of my career was playing for Shrewsbury Town and to get the move to Man City from there was the next step.
"I suppose I appreciate what I have got now, having played down the leagues. Everyone's got their different routes, and there's no right or wrong way to do it. That was just my path and I wouldn't change it for anything.
