Man City keeper Hart happy with Eriksson faith

Joe Hart says Manchester City can be happy with the point gained after their 0-0 draw at Portsmouth.

The goalkeeper told City's website: "We showed as a team at Pompey that what happened at Chelsea was a one off and a fluke. That is three clean-sheets in succession now and we have shown we have the spirit to bounce back.

"The last three performances have been huge for us. Not maybe in terms of flare and excitement but in showing that we can dig and graft and that the Chelsea game really hurt us. It did and we have shown the rest of the league what we can do."

With many expecting Hart to have had his chance after that ill-fated trip to the capital, he has certainly belied his age in the face of such tough opposition of late.

The 20-year-old added: "I don't think that I could be blamed for what happened at Chelsea but I suppose it would have been easy for the boss to drop me. That he didn't just added to my confidence.

"I don't listen to rumours. I just get on with what I have to do and try to do it the best that I can. I have possession of the shirt and it is up to me to keep it for as long as I can.

"It was a dream to play in a game like that and our critics seem to be melting away by the week. There is a big chunk of the season gone now and we are not where we are by luck or through accident.

"We have not just had a good start - it has been a tremendous one. Now we just want to keep on rolling."
