Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart hailed Mario Balotelli for converting his penalty in their 1-1 draw with Champions League opponents Borussia Dortmund.

Hart was outstanding on the night, keeping City in the game ahead of Balotelli's spotkick.

He said: "It could have been ten-all tonight.

"Mario was never going to miss that penalty. I don't know if it was a penalty, but we pushed hard and wanted a point.

"We needed a point. It would have been nice to win, but we have come out of the game alive.
