Manchester City goalkeeper David Gonzalez would love to sign permanently with Aberdeen.

His loan deal ends next month.

Gonzalez told the Scottish Sun: "We have discussed the situation and at the moment we are sticking to the plan where I go back to City in January.

"I have had a great time at Aberdeen. Playing regular first-team football again was what I wanted to do, so it has been a great experience. I'd like to stay and be part of things but I understand the initial thought was for me to come in as cover for Jamie (Langfield)."
