Manchester City's new goalkeeper Shay Given says his best years are ahead of him.

"I feel that the best years for me are still ahead. I work ever so hard in training to keep improving, and that will never change," the 33 year-old former Newcastle No1 told City magazine.

"It is a great challenge for me and the rest of the lads to get this club moving forward. With the backing of the new owners, the sky is the limit if we can get the right type of player in to join those already here. I'm really excited."
