Manchester City are prepared to bid for AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the coming weeks.

While both City boss Roberto Mancini and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani played down the significance of their meeting last week, TMW says the Swede is a target for the Premier League champs.

Milan are prepared to sell to fund a rebuilding plan this summer and Ibra is looming as the big name to go.

City are willing to match the wages Ibra enjoys with Milan, though the length of their contract offer is yet to be decided.
