Manchester City are tracking Chile international midfielder Jorge Valdiva.
Santiago sources say Valdiva, who joined Al Ain in the UAE from Brazilian giants Palmeiras, has been recommended to City boss Mark Hughes.
The owners of Al Ain have strong ties to the City board and that could lead to Valdiva moving to Eastlands this summer.
